Rocky Mtn Natl Park, Fairchild Mtn, June 98
Sunset and view of the Faichild from my camp the night before the climb.
Fairchild is farthest peak, little bit to the right, on this foto. Because
of the distance it looks like the smallest.
Next day. View of the Fairchild from approach. Fairchild is right to
the left of the vertical wall in the center of the picture.
You can see the peak much better on this picture. It is easily identifiable
by the vertical wall. I am going around the lake (right in front
of me) to the pass and then turn left 90 degrees to climb the summit.
View of the lake where I camped (not the same lake as on the previous
foto). This is roughly 2/3 to the top. You can also see Mummy Mtn on the
left. I couldn't get any decent pictures from the summit becasue of the weather,
this one is the best I got.
