The Symphony EPM (Equipment
Productivity Manager) is a suite of hardware and software products that
can transform your manufacturing equipment into shared resources with
concurrent access for multiple applications and users, rigorous security,
and automated data collection and analysis - much like
Microsoft Office replaced typewriters and calculators with one computer
containing a suite of powerful applications.
The open architecture of
Symphony's web-based solutions allows process, maintenance, and customer
support engineers to
- Collect all needed data,
any time as defined by users
- Analyze trends, real
time or historic
- Track true states of
the equipment
- Correlate events with
tool status
- Access tools remotely,
via the web/intranet
- Facilitate real-time collaboration
with partners
Symphony EPM
provides its users a huge advantage in this highly competitive industry
by enabling them to dramatically improve overall equipment effectiveness
(OEE), monitor and control equipment remotely, and poise their operations
for e-diagnostics and APC. The following features make Symphony EPM most effective
for a variety of users:
Scalablity - EPM installed on one tool can be rapidly expanded into a fab-wide solution
Concurrent multiple tool and sensor connectivity through the Symphony Equipment Server (SES)
Remote access to data through the InfoPlus.21 real-time and historian database
e-Diagnostics and APC platform
Reliability and performance
Specifically designed to enable
your tool as a shared resource and to leverage the best applications available,
EPM includes the following components:
Symphony Equipment Server
(SES) is a network-optimized software module that provides all
the services necessary to integrate equipment into communication networks.
The SES enables concurrent access and sharing of equipment data via
an object interface. The SES opens the equipment to customized applications and allows the implementation of "Best of Breed" software.
Data Collection Manager (DCM) provides
a fully automated data collection solution. It lets a user specify what
data to collect from the equipment through the SES connection, and it
configures and populates the InfoPlus.21 database.
InfoPlus.21 Provides
real-time and historic data warehousing for the high-speed capture of
large volumes of parametric data.
Process Explorer
displays parametric data, events, and alarms allowing users to monitor
equipment parameters in real time. Process Explorer provides fast, clear
navigation methods and a variety of views into the data.
The EPM suite is an evolving product, and includes current
capabilities as well as new releases that will be delivered in the near
future. Contact sales about the latest release availability.
